I started with acrylics after playing with them with my artist friend about 4 years ago and have really come to like being able to completely paint over what you don’t like! In watercolor, the pigment is there and is very challenging to remove or alter, leading to extremely thoughtful placement and many failed experiments. On the other hand, you get some happy accidents as well which is cool. In acrylic, I feel free to pile things on in a more chunky fashion. I also enjoy the ability to add real 3D texture as I often want to have a tactile interaction with art. I still hope to get the glow I see and admire on so many artists’ work and am enjoying the less representational nature I paint with in acrylic. All pieces are available as prints on paper, canvas, or aluminum or as greeting cards. Some original pieces are available as well so if something strikes your fancy, email me!
I am working on a direct link way to purchase things, but in the mean time, if you’re interested in something, please email me. Some originals are available, and all images are available in print (on canvas, acid free paper, or aluminum), or as greeting cards.
